I'm more confused about who is buying this for $999. And if it is worth this price why don't they have better copy protection?
We can't dance, we don't talk much, we just ball and play, then we move like tigers on vaseline

It is a software that synchronizes audio, video and light all in one.
Yes, I too think it is too expensive. Maybe because they sell the license to big theaters too.

Anyway, me I would sell it for up max 50$ to theaters and 20$ to individuals.

This was not designed for bedroom producers to light up lavalamps, this is aimed at venues, halls and theaters. If you would sell this to theaters for 50$ then you are basically doing charity and have fun going bankrupt in a day. You clearly have no clue how much these kind of niche professional mac softwares cost.

As for the copy protection - it really does not matter. Big venues, theaters and concert halls are usually inspected in western countries and if they fail to show a valid license for the softwares they use they will face huge charges.

In principle I agree with you...

No, I don't make software at all but I think it's better to have 10.000 users who pay me 50$ than 100 who pay me 999.

In some cases I would prefer to lower the price a bit and have more loyal users... or not?
